Cal - 11/02/2020

Callahan ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch he ate bites of chicken, whole wheat pita bread, cucumbers, and ate pears.   

Their Grandparents are in town so Nora and Miles are not here today and may be hit and miss all week.  They were also not here Friday.  Well actually Nora was here part of Friday, but not Miles.  About 4:00 Friday afternoon Cal asked me, "Hey Gary, is Mau Mau coming?"  Haha.  Nope, I don't think he's gonna make it here today.  

Avi and Svea are also not here so it's just Cal and Atley today.  Cal played independently a lot and Atley played with him a few times.  She's very good about doing that in situations like these.  Atley had Alexa playing her choice of music and she asked Cal, "Do you like it; yes or no!?!"  Cal said, "No."  Haha.  However Atley has listened to me and learned that it makes a difference with that age group how you word your sentence so she immediately followed that by asking, "Do you like it; no or yes!?!"  Cal said, "Yes."  Haha.  Good job Atley.

Here are some pictures from this morning;  Cal playing with the tractors and food toys.  Here he is putting a nice steak in the yellow bowl.  :)  Following picture;  Doing selfies with Gary.  He had his finger stuck in his mouth so I was holding his hand back while I took the picture.  Ha.  

Next two pictures;  Cal and Atley were piling up pillows, blankets, dress-up clothes and anything soft and then jumping on them with.  Second picture; Flopping face-first on the mattress with Atley.  Last picture;  He used one marker, made three quick lines, and said, "I'm done."  Haha.  That was quick.  So I gave him a couple more markers and kept him interested for a few minutes.  I also helped him with a few stickers and it was funny because he basically just kept piling them on top of each other.  Haha.  And that is a very common approach for his age group.

Callahan ate kix cereal and fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground turkey, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate avocado, tomatoes, and cherries. I took this first picture shortly after Cal arrived and I just thought it was cute how he was sitting on the edge of the mattress reading his book. Second picture: He and Atley were having fun being silly before anyone else arrived. These two are basically on the same humor level. Haha. They find each other to be quite hilarious. Cal - 04/26/2021

Callahan ate two servings of bran cereal and ate most of raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, bites of toasted whole wheat pita bread, bites of cucumbers, ate avocado, and ate pears. At Lunch time Cal asked me; "How you day Gary?" Excellent. He'd repeat it; I'd say excellent. He finally said, "Say good." Haha. I didn't realize that was why he kept repeating it!!  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and these two guys were playing with the bunny ears. Miles put it on his head by himself one time, but in the second picture Cal had put it on him. :) Next picture: Miles likes getting in these tight spots and hanging out. So you can probably guess what Cal was asking him, right!? "Can I come in?!?" "Can I come in?" Can I come in?" Oh sure Cal, there is lots of room, come on in!! :) Silly kids. Cal - 08/11/2022

Callahan ate French toast casserole and ate his dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, peas, and mandarin oranges. How do you like this whacky first picture?!? Haha. Cal and I were having fun with this flexible sheet of magnifying plastic. You gotta big head on a little body there Cal!! :) Next picture: The kids were having fun with these cups, cutting up lots of beads, filling the cups, taping the top shut, and calling them "shakers." I ended up putting scotch tape on the top of Cal's cup - he didn't have very many beads in his - and they all stuck to the tape and wouldn't shake. Haha. He wasn't real thrilled with how that came out!! Next picture: Cal was just hanging out watching Atley and Avi folding paper following "Origami for Kids" on Youtube. Making a dog and bone. Miles is gone until Tuesday so Cal didn't have him to wrestle with today!! Haha. Last picture: Svea was putting a necklace on Cal's neck...
