Cal - 01/04/2021

Callahan ate three servings of French toast and ate dried plums for breakfast.  ("More French fries" for 2nd serving. "More French toast for 3rd serving." Dang it! I like the "French Fries" thing!) For lunch he ate half of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, most of peas, and ate strawberries/mangoes mix.  

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I guess Avilene wanted lots of room for her landing because she had them all lined up in the far corner. And squeezed close together; Atley, Nora, Svea, and Cal. Avi actually came off the top of the igloo backwards and this was the end of the landing. I love that I can choose which "frame" of the picture to post!!  Second picture: Another one from yesterday. Cal was perched on the top of 5 blocks and I just thought it was cute.  :)  I don't think I've mentioned it lately, but I love having this little guy in my Program.  He's a great kid and lots of fun.

Next picture; I really like this picture because it's a great example of how these two boys frequently play near each other, but not with the same toys.  Miles was playing with the food toys and now he is just passing by on his way to the blocks. I can't tell you how many times I've seen kids walking by who wouldn't resist the urge to shove the towers over.  We always had a rule: "you can't push them over if you didn't build them!"  That rule kept us busy!!  Haha.  I love that these two are not inclined to do that.

Last picture; Lauralea was preparing to leave heading to Superior and then Plains. Everyone was waving and Nora was voicing concern about losing her spot at the end. They're not very evenly spread out; 4 on the right bench, 2 on the left bench.

Callahan ate kix cereal and fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground turkey, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate avocado, tomatoes, and cherries. I took this first picture shortly after Cal arrived and I just thought it was cute how he was sitting on the edge of the mattress reading his book. Second picture: He and Atley were having fun being silly before anyone else arrived. These two are basically on the same humor level. Haha. They find each other to be quite hilarious. Cal - 04/26/2021

Callahan ate two servings of bran cereal and ate most of raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, bites of toasted whole wheat pita bread, bites of cucumbers, ate avocado, and ate pears. At Lunch time Cal asked me; "How you day Gary?" Excellent. He'd repeat it; I'd say excellent. He finally said, "Say good." Haha. I didn't realize that was why he kept repeating it!!  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and these two guys were playing with the bunny ears. Miles put it on his head by himself one time, but in the second picture Cal had put it on him. :) Next picture: Miles likes getting in these tight spots and hanging out. Callahan ate French toast casserole and ate his dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, peas, and mandarin oranges. How do you like this whacky first picture?!? Haha. Cal and I were having fun with this flexible sheet of magnifying plastic. You gotta big head on a little body there Cal!! :) Next picture: The kids were having fun with these cups, cutting up lots of beads, filling the cups, taping the top shut, and calling them "shakers." I ended up putting scotch tape on the top of Cal's cup - he didn't have very many beads in his - and they all stuck to the tape and wouldn't shake. Haha. He wasn't real thrilled with how that came out!! Next picture: Cal was just hanging out watching Atley and Avi folding paper following "Origami for Kids" on Youtube. Making a dog and bone.
