Cal - 02/18/2021

Callahan ate two servings of blueberry bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch he ate two large servings of hamburger & sausage pizza with meat, peppers, pineapple, olives, and tomato sauce. He ate whole wheat pizza crust (served on the side) and a serving of pineapple.  

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon. Callahan has been asking about the "robot vacuum" for many many days! (He sees it every day in the room where he sleeps.) So yesterday afternoon we picked up all the toys in the Play Room and I went and got the robot vacuum off of it's base and it wouldn't work!! The kids were good sports and took it in stride when I told them I'd check it out this weekend and then I got out the big vacuum. Avilene and Nora each took a turn doing some of the vacuuming. Cal sat mesmerized on the couch after everyone else was done watching. 

The next picture is Cal and his stack of blocks which he called "my drum." Wonderful dramatic play. So I asked Alexa play "Little Drummer Boy." The following picture was taken after Miles and Callahan had all the blocks off the top and bottom shelves and scattered around. Callahan said, "I'm working Gary." And that's exactly what it is even though it appears like play to us. It really is "their work." By the time I took the picture I guess the boys were having a scheduled "break time." Haha.

Last picture; Cal has a daily ritual of taking off his socks and slinging them over the gate onto the entry-way floor. These socks were not easy to get off and he asked for help from his buddy. Miles was hanging on and Cal was pulling back on his leg, but they couldn't get it so I helped out. (After the picture of course! ha)

Callahan ate whole wheat toast and mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate two large servings of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of two large servings of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate green beans, and fruit salad. First picture: The girls were doing "origami for children" and following an instructional video folding paper into butterflies. Cal wanted to do some kind of Art so he decided on practicing some cutting again. That's been his "go to thing" lately. He always asks if he can put the many pieces on his Cubby for "Mom and Dad." Haha. Second picture; Having fun with Avi. She loves to rough-house with the boys and of course they love it as well! It's no wonder why Avi, Cal, and Miles are good buddies. Next two pictures: Miles brought his Fire Truck today and shared it for a short period. He was fine sharing with Avi, but didn't want Cal to touch it. So it went back to his Cubby. Cal - 08/16/2022

Callahan ate waffle and two large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of his chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and apple pieces.  This was Cal's first activity after waving bye to Dad and Hudson this morning. Art projects haven't been his first choice so this is picture worthy!! :) Next picture; The boys wanted Avi to lift them out of the chair and of course she was ready to oblige them. Uhhmmm, maybe you should take your game to the Play room where the landing is not hardwood floor. But first I gotta get a picture. Ha. Following picture: They were doing random jumps, butt bombs, and face plants. I encouraged them to synchronize their maneuvers for a photo - haha, right - but I could have stood there taking pictures all day and it probably wouldn't have happened. Cal - 08/18/2022

Hello to all of Cal and Hudson's Family!! As you all know Little Treasures is soon to close it's doors and I'll be moving on to another phase of my life. I'm totally serious when I say all the Boyle Family has been super close to my heart and all of you guys are the best. It's all passed so quickly and today is Cal's last day here. What a blast it's been to have Cal in my Program. As he's gotten older and his sense of humor has developed I must say; I think Cal and I are both inflicted with a serious case of silliness!! Haha. He makes me laugh so much. Here's to you Cal; or "Bob" or "Bob Sanks." Love you so much. Here are two parting pictures: Cal and Miles playing "Ring around the Rosy."
