Cal - 04/05/2021

Callahan ate bites of kix cereal and two servings of fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground turkey, ate toasted whole wheat sandwich thins, two servings of avocado - on his ground turkey, ate tomatoes, and cherries.  

This first picture is left over from Friday afternoon. Cal and Svea were hunting bugs and they were a pretty good team. As soon as Svea spotted one she'd point at the bug, quickly back off, and encourage Cal to do the dirty work. Ha. Second picture; well here they are again this morning. Not hunting bugs, but having fun with the play dough.

Next picture: As you know Cal hasn't been very interested in drawing or coloring up to this point. He showed more interest today than before and asked if he could color. Usually when I give him a marker he makes three or four wild swipes and "I'm done." Ha. Today he used three or four colors and stayed on task for several minutes. He said, "I'm making snakes Gary, I'm making snakes!" 

The Hansen family are in South Dakota and will be back at Little Treasures on Wednesday. So the "match-ups" playing together were a bit different this morning. Svea and Atley do not often play by themselves, but they were having fun doing that while Avi and Cal were playing in the Daycare Room. When I took the picture Avi was trying to keep Cal from putting his finger in his nose for the picture. Ha. Thanks Avi. Then she was "gently" rolling him over off the couch onto the floor, over and over again.

I took this first picture shortly after Cal arrived and I just thought it was cute how he was sitting on the edge of the mattress reading his book. Second picture: He and Atley were having fun being silly before anyone else arrived. These two are basically on the same humor level. Haha. They find each other to be quite hilarious. Next picture: Cal actually did quite a bit of Art - although I think he eventually tossed most of it in the trash. He was doing stickers, drawing, and gluing with the glue stick. Cal - 04/26/2021

Callahan ate two servings of bran cereal and ate most of raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, bites of toasted whole wheat pita bread, bites of cucumbers, ate avocado, and ate pears. At Lunch time Cal asked me; "How you day Gary?" Excellent. He'd repeat it; I'd say excellent. He finally said, "Say good." Haha. I didn't realize that was why he kept repeating it!!  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and these two guys were playing with the bunny ears. Miles put it on his head by himself one time, but in the second picture Cal had put it on him. :) Next picture: Miles likes getting in these tight spots and hanging out. Callahan ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, some whole wheat toast, half of his beets, and ate applesauce.  Callahan and Svea were arguing about giving Alexa instructions. Cal was yelling, "more" and Svea was yelling, "Stop." That was bugging Eden and she came over and asked, "Why are you fighting?" And Cal verbalized it very well. Eden asked, "Do you know rock-paper-scissors?" That hit my funny bone. Oh well, nice try Eden. First picture: Story on the left and Eden on the right were pretending to sleep after Cal arrived and he was intent on waking them. Ha.
