Cal - 09/03/2021

Callahan ate brown rice and two servings of raisins for breakfast. He had his second serving of raisins in his bowl and raised to his mouth like he was gonna "drink" it. He said, "I'm gonna dump it in my mouth!" Haha. Goofy kid. Yes I intervened. For lunch he ate two servings of salmon, bites of whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and ate mangoes. Another breakfast story: Cal had a mouth full of rice and started coughing. I put my hand up in front of his mouth to keep the rice from flying all over! He thought I was wanting to give him "five" and started trying to reciprocate!! Haha. 

Funny story with the first picture. Have you noticed in the pictures recently there is not a mattress cover on our mattress? It's been off for several weeks and today is the first day Cal has mentioned it. He asked, "Why did you take the mattress cover off?!?" I said, "Because you guys keep pulling it off." Cal said, "Me and Miles?!?" Me; "Yes you guys were the primary culprits." Cal said, "Well I want you to put it back on." Haha. "Of course you do, but that's not gonna happen." :) Following picture: The boys were apparently wanting to overhaul the chair, but I made sure they were lacking in tools. Haha.

Next picture: Well we took another walk this morning and it was wonderful!! Such a beautiful morning. We went to a different Park and of course Svea wanted to pull the wagon again. Except this was in gravel and slightly uphill so we did it together. Middle picture: This park only had a swing and a slide, but the kids didn't really care and we had a great outing. Svea was saying to me; "Do an underdog, do an underdog, do an underdog." And Cal took up the chant too. Haha. Last picture: And they got to talk to some other kids too. :) This little boy - within a month of same age as Cal - was sharing a digger he had brought with him. The kids spotted a City Worker running a leaf blower and had a mower as well. Cal said, "Look at the Blue tractor." Well I might not be great at colors, but I can read and I know John Deere tractors are green so I'm not falling for the "blue thing" Callahan! Haha.

Callahan ate kix cereal and fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground turkey, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate avocado, tomatoes, and cherries. I took this first picture shortly after Cal arrived and I just thought it was cute how he was sitting on the edge of the mattress reading his book. Second picture: He and Atley were having fun being silly before anyone else arrived. These two are basically on the same humor level. Haha. They find each other to be quite hilarious. Next picture: Cal actually did quite a bit of Art - although I think he eventually tossed most of it in the trash. He was doing stickers, drawing, and gluing with the glue stick. Cal - 04/26/2021

Callahan ate two servings of bran cereal and ate most of raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, bites of toasted whole wheat pita bread, bites of cucumbers, ate avocado, and ate pears. At Lunch time Cal asked me; "How you day Gary?" Excellent. He'd repeat it; I'd say excellent. He finally said, "Say good." Haha. I didn't realize that was why he kept repeating it!!  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and these two guys were playing with the bunny ears. Miles put it on his head by himself one time, but in the second picture Cal had put it on him. :) Next picture: Miles likes getting in these tight spots and hanging out. Callahan ate French toast casserole and ate his dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, peas, and mandarin oranges. How do you like this whacky first picture?!? Haha. Cal and I were having fun with this flexible sheet of magnifying plastic. You gotta big head on a little body there Cal!! :) Next picture: The kids were having fun with these cups, cutting up lots of beads, filling the cups, taping the top shut, and calling them "shakers." I ended up putting scotch tape on the top of Cal's cup - he didn't have very many beads in his - and they all stuck to the tape and wouldn't shake. Haha. He wasn't real thrilled with how that came out!! Next picture: Cal was just hanging out watching Atley and Avi folding paper following "Origami for Kids" on Youtube. Making a dog and bone. Miles is gone until Tuesday so Cal didn't have him to wrestle with today!! Haha. Last picture: Svea was putting a necklace on Cal's neck...
