Callahan ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of chicken, ate whole wheat toast, no broccoli, and ate pineapple. So at breakfast Cal said, "Hey Gary, I can sing in Spanish!" And so he did; "Hola amigo; Como estas?" I'm fine my friend Cal and how are you? :) Yesterday Svea was saying Spanish words - primarily numbers - and I love that they have older siblings to learn from. And kids pick up language so fast!! Very cool!

I will label the first 4 pictures: "Typical Toddler/Early-Preschool Behavior." I expect this behavior and then teach other ways of dealing with each other. Learning good social skills never ends, right!?! So Cal is holding his tractor high and wide so Miles doesn't steal it!! Ha! (I have 4 identical ones!!) What happens next that the picture doesn't show?!? Cal was setting down the yellow car, and Miles grabbed it, while holding and protecting another car in his left hand.

Next picture: Cal was hitting Svea so I had him go sit on the couch for a couple of minutes. What do the other two kids do!?! Go to the couch and join him!! Dang kids! Then for good measure, Miles starts pushing on Cal with his feet. Dang kids. Hahaha. But they like being in close proximity to each other! And we try to celebrate the times they play with very minimal conflict!! See the next two pictures!! In the third picture Svea is leading them in cheers. Primarily; "Go Broncos."

Last picture: Toy drill + hollow baby bottle = weapon. And this is why I chuckle (to myself) when they (State Child Care Licensing) say "No Toy Guns" in Child Care settings. I think it's a good rule, BUT little boys (generally speaking here) in particular will make a weapon out of anything. And of course creativity is a good thing. :)
