Cal - 01/07/2022

Callahan ate kix cereal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, ate whole wheat tortilla, bites of carrots, and ate mango/strawberries. 

Cal and Svea were looking at my hand and Cal said, "What's that!?" "That would be the scar from my bike wreck." Cal asked, "When did you get your bike wreck; today or tomorrow?" So I asked them, "When do you think it was?" Cal said, "Tomorrow." Svea said, "Tomorrow." Then Svea added, "You said scar, like scarf." Yup that's right!

More humor: (Haha.) Cal said, "I want to read books." Svea said, "I want to read Halloween books." I said, "I don't know if I even have any Halloween books." Svea said, "Yes you do - like the first day of Christmas my true love said to me me." OH!!! those Halloween Books!! Now I know which ones you mean. :)

Cal and Svea are the only ones here today and they played steady all morning. They had lots of fun together and only a couple times of very minimal conflict. In the first picture they were going through the bag of goodies that Svea brought with her from home. In the second picture - I'm not really sure what the make-believe game/drama was about, but Cal was not suppose to be peeking around the corner. Svea said, "Don't look at me. Don't look at me! Pinky promise Cal!?!" Cal was agreeable; "Pinky Promise!!" Ha.

Last picture: I did not really interrupt them very much this morning as it felt kind of intrusive!! :) I asked if they felt like doing some "art with coffee filters" and they looked at me and were agreeable with minimal enthusiasm. Haha. The art turned out very pretty. And I stepped back and continued to observe. :)

Callahan ate whole wheat toast and mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate two large servings of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of two large servings of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate green beans, and fruit salad. First picture: The girls were doing "origami for children" and following an instructional video folding paper into butterflies. Cal wanted to do some kind of Art so he decided on practicing some cutting again. That's been his "go to thing" lately. He always asks if he can put the many pieces on his Cubby for "Mom and Dad." Haha. Second picture; Having fun with Avi. She loves to rough-house with the boys and of course they love it as well! It's no wonder why Avi, Cal, and Miles are good buddies. Next two pictures: Miles brought his Fire Truck today and shared it for a short period. He was fine sharing with Avi, but didn't want Cal to touch it. So it went back to his Cubby. Cal - 08/16/2022

Callahan ate waffle and two large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of his chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and apple pieces.  This was Cal's first activity after waving bye to Dad and Hudson this morning. Art projects haven't been his first choice so this is picture worthy!! :) Next picture; The boys wanted Avi to lift them out of the chair and of course she was ready to oblige them. Uhhmmm, maybe you should take your game to the Play room where the landing is not hardwood floor. But first I gotta get a picture. Ha. Following picture: They were doing random jumps, butt bombs, and face plants. I encouraged them to synchronize their maneuvers for a photo - haha, right - but I could have stood there taking pictures all day and it probably wouldn't have happened. Cal - 08/18/2022

Hello to all of Cal and Hudson's Family!! As you all know Little Treasures is soon to close it's doors and I'll be moving on to another phase of my life. I'm totally serious when I say all the Boyle Family has been super close to my heart and all of you guys are the best. It's all passed so quickly and today is Cal's last day here. What a blast it's been to have Cal in my Program. As he's gotten older and his sense of humor has developed I must say; I think Cal and I are both inflicted with a serious case of silliness!! Haha. He makes me laugh so much. Here's to you Cal; or "Bob" or "Bob Sanks." Love you so much. Here are two parting pictures: Cal and Miles playing "Ring around the Rosy."
