Cal - 01/10/2022

Callahan ate bites of corn chex cereal and ate peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate two large servings of ground beef covered with two large servings of avocado, he ate whole wheat sandwich thin, tomatoes, and mixed berries. 

We did a toy, puzzle, and book exchange this weekend and the kids were super engaged all morning. Cal and Svea are the only ones here today and they were so wrapped up in the Daycare Room that they didn't even check out the Preschool Room! Svea is checking out Preschool Activities while Cal is napping. My role this morning was pretty much limited to observation. I love to see them that busy playing, exploring, role-playing, and learning about the world around them.

These first two pictures were taken just a few minutes apart. Svea loves to organize all the food toys - and sometimes ALL the toys - on the step and in front of the gate. It usually involves having a party and today they were having a Birthday Party. The kids are wearing aprons and bracelets and obviously Cal has on a hat as well.

Svea brought her butterfly wings from home and I took this next picture when she was jumping off the balance beam. Cal asked her; "Are you gonna fly?!?" She said, "Yes I am." Svea said, "I'm funny." Cal said, "You are funny too." Then he added; "You make me laugh like crazy!" Haha. Initially he said, "You make me crazy." And that made me laugh. I'm calling that a "Freudian slip." Haha. Totally revealing his true subconscious feelings.

Last picture: Svea and Cal sat and read books in this chair for a long time. I wish I'd timed exactly how long, but I'm guessing between 20 -30 minutes. There was a "Santa Claus" book mixed in with these books and Svea was just making it up as she went - to the tune of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." It was SO stinking cute.

Callahan ate whole wheat toast and mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate two large servings of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of two large servings of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate green beans, and fruit salad. First picture: The girls were doing "origami for children" and following an instructional video folding paper into butterflies. Cal wanted to do some kind of Art so he decided on practicing some cutting again. That's been his "go to thing" lately. He always asks if he can put the many pieces on his Cubby for "Mom and Dad." Haha. Second picture; Having fun with Avi. She loves to rough-house with the boys and of course they love it as well! It's no wonder why Avi, Cal, and Miles are good buddies. Next two pictures: Miles brought his Fire Truck today and shared it for a short period. He was fine sharing with Avi, but didn't want Cal to touch it. So it went back to his Cubby. Cal - 08/16/2022

Callahan ate waffle and two large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of his chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and apple pieces.  This was Cal's first activity after waving bye to Dad and Hudson this morning. Art projects haven't been his first choice so this is picture worthy!! :) Next picture; The boys wanted Avi to lift them out of the chair and of course she was ready to oblige them. Uhhmmm, maybe you should take your game to the Play room where the landing is not hardwood floor. But first I gotta get a picture. Ha. Following picture: They were doing random jumps, butt bombs, and face plants. I encouraged them to synchronize their maneuvers for a photo - haha, right - but I could have stood there taking pictures all day and it probably wouldn't have happened. Cal - 08/18/2022

Hello to all of Cal and Hudson's Family!! As you all know Little Treasures is soon to close it's doors and I'll be moving on to another phase of my life. I'm totally serious when I say all the Boyle Family has been super close to my heart and all of you guys are the best. It's all passed so quickly and today is Cal's last day here. What a blast it's been to have Cal in my Program. As he's gotten older and his sense of humor has developed I must say; I think Cal and I are both inflicted with a serious case of silliness!! Haha. He makes me laugh so much. Here's to you Cal; or "Bob" or "Bob Sanks." Love you so much. Here are two parting pictures: Cal and Miles playing "Ring around the Rosy."
