Cal - 02/07/2022

Callahan ate bites of chex cereal and ate peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate a large serving of ground beef topped with avocado, ate two servings of toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate tomatoes, and ate his mandarin oranges.

For any reading this Blog who may not know we are allowing a young pregnant mother and her three year old (Nicole) to stay with us for about 6 weeks. She and her husband live in a motor home while he follows his work around the State laying fiber optic cable. The Mother is a sister to one of our previous child care kids. Cal, Svea, and Miles have been enjoying playing with Nicole and it's gonna work fine if Friday and today are any indication!!

I took this first picture within two minutes of Cal's arrival!! He said, "Gary, I wanna watch Lauralea." Ok fine with me; just pull your chair around to sit and watch. :) She's making herself some tea so it should be very exciting. Haha. Second picture; Then Cal asked if her could join Miles at the Doll House. If you look closely you'll see Miles has one of the Doll House accessories on his wrist. Cal was laughing when he said, "That is NOT a bracelet Miles!!"  :)

Next two pictures - Svea doing what Svea always does!! Arranging the food how she wants it! Cal was pointing at the goodies and saying, "I like this, and this, and this, and this...." Svea said, "You don't like the cake?" (directly out from her elbow) Cal said, "Yes I do." Svea asked, "Why did you not point at it?" Ha!!(These two could definitely use some marriage counseling!! Ha!) Last picture: Svea had moved her food to another location and again keeping an eye on the boys. They were in "rascal mode" and tossing food off the blue balance beam. Svea said, "You guys can do that, but you can not touch my purse." :)

Callahan ate kix cereal and fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground turkey, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate avocado, tomatoes, and cherries. I took this first picture shortly after Cal arrived and I just thought it was cute how he was sitting on the edge of the mattress reading his book. Second picture: He and Atley were having fun being silly before anyone else arrived. These two are basically on the same humor level. Haha. They find each other to be quite hilarious. Cal - 04/26/2021

Callahan ate two servings of bran cereal and ate most of raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, bites of toasted whole wheat pita bread, bites of cucumbers, ate avocado, and ate pears. At Lunch time Cal asked me; "How you day Gary?" Excellent. He'd repeat it; I'd say excellent. He finally said, "Say good." Haha. I didn't realize that was why he kept repeating it!!  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and these two guys were playing with the bunny ears. Miles put it on his head by himself one time, but in the second picture Cal had put it on him. :) Next picture: Miles likes getting in these tight spots and hanging out. Callahan ate French toast casserole and ate his dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, peas, and mandarin oranges. How do you like this whacky first picture?!? Haha. Cal and I were having fun with this flexible sheet of magnifying plastic. You gotta big head on a little body there Cal!! :) Next picture: The kids were having fun with these cups, cutting up lots of beads, filling the cups, taping the top shut, and calling them "shakers." I ended up putting scotch tape on the top of Cal's cup - he didn't have very many beads in his - and they all stuck to the tape and wouldn't shake. Haha. He wasn't real thrilled with how that came out!! Next picture: Cal was just hanging out watching Atley and Avi folding paper following "Origami for Kids" on Youtube. Making a dog and bone.
