Cal - 02/15/2022

Callahan ate most of blueberry bagel and two large servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate shrimp, brown rice topped with berry juice, no broccoli, and ate mixed berries. 

I probably should not have thought this first picture was quite so funny, but it really made me laugh!! I'd intentionally set my phone on the big window sill in "selfie mode." (Kind of a trap, but I'm calling it an experiment. Ha! Creating a teaching moment!!) Both boys walked over to look and saw themselves. I asked, "Who is that?" They were repeating the same one word sentence; "Me! Me! Me!" :) And it captured them perfectly. 

Svea is not here today as she vomited when Grandma and Grandpa were taking Avi to school. So it was just Miles and Cal and our house guest Nicole joined them for about an hour. Next picture: Miles did puzzles several times and Cal was reading books. I moved the Preschool books to a more easily accessible spot and Cal was thrilled. :) "Gary, can I read books?!?" :) Yes; And you don't need to ask. 

Next picture: This is kind of a cool little puzzle that Miles and Cal have been enjoying. It's a long caterpillar and the boys put it together by using their colors. However, there is also some number sequencing so they're being introduced to that as well. Maybe we can have some incidental or unintentional learning happening here! Last picture: Cal is getting a ride in the "boat" that Nicole built. (You can see her pushing at the back end of the boat.) Miles - upper right hand corner of the picture - was having some alone time to poop. Cal was certainly in favor of having Nicole do all the work!! Haha.

Hello to all of Cal and Hudson's Family!! As you all know Little Treasures is soon to close it's doors and I'll be moving on to another phase of my life. I'm totally serious when I say all the Boyle Family has been super close to my heart and all of you guys are the best. It's all passed so quickly and today is Cal's last day here. What a blast it's been to have Cal in my Program. As he's gotten older and his sense of humor has developed I must say; I think Cal and I are both inflicted with a serious case of silliness!! Haha. Cal - 08/10/2022

Callahan ate whole wheat toast and mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate two large servings of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of two large servings of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate green beans, and fruit salad. First picture: The girls were doing "origami for children" and following an instructional video folding paper into butterflies. Cal wanted to do some kind of Art so he decided on practicing some cutting again. That's been his "go to thing" lately. He always asks if he can put the many pieces on his Cubby for "Mom and Dad." Haha. Second picture; Having fun with Avi. She loves to rough-house with the boys and of course they love it as well! It's no wonder why Avi, Cal, and Miles are good buddies. Next two pictures: Miles brought his Fire Truck today and shared it for a short period. He was fine sharing with Avi, but didn't want Cal to touch it. So it went back to his Cubby. Cal - 08/16/2022

Callahan ate waffle and two large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of his chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and apple pieces.  This was Cal's first activity after waving bye to Dad and Hudson this morning. Art projects haven't been his first choice so this is picture worthy!! :) Next picture; The boys wanted Avi to lift them out of the chair and of course she was ready to oblige them. Uhhmmm, maybe you should take your game to the Play room where the landing is not hardwood floor. But first I gotta get a picture. Ha. Following picture: They were doing random jumps, butt bombs, and face plants. I encouraged them to synchronize their maneuvers for a photo - haha, right - but I could have stood there taking pictures all day and it probably wouldn't have happened.
