Cal - 04/07/2022
Callahan ate blueberry bagel and ate peaches for breakfast. For Lunch he ate ground turkey, whole wheat tortillas, ate sweet potatoes, and ate his blueberries.
Cal is one of these kids: Certain children THRIVE with routine and consistency. (R & C) I believe all children need R & C, but some even more than others. Cal was a totally different little boy when he came into Little Treasures this morning. (Compared to Monday - Wednesday morning at drop off.) Back to the Normal routine. I really can't overemphasize this fact. He was happy, immediately playing, being his silly normal little self! It was pretty amazing to witness this again. All was running smoothly in his world. He went to the block structure and that was his Ice Cream store. "What kind of Ice Cream do you want?" Well let's go with the Vanilla sprinkled with mint chips. :)
Reading books with a hint of "tint" gives one another perspective. :) Second picture: Waiting in eager anticipation (or maybe his expression is more boredom - ha) as Svea unveils the goodies she brought from Home today!!
Next picture: Miles was doing Puzzles and Cal stopped by when he saw which Puzzle Miles was working on. They were identifying some of the vehicles represented in the Puzzle. "Excavator, Fire Truck, Tractor, Dump Truck" and 4 or 5 more. Following picture: Although you'd never guess it from this picture the Boys were having fun doing a Dinosaur Game. Dinosaurs that roared!! :)
Last picture; Miles and Cal were actually doing "Ring Around the Rosy" first and then Svea asked to join them. (Miles said, No." Ha. Little Goof.) Prior to this they were playing a Game and I was watching trying to understand ANY part of it! Ha. Cal kept calling Miles the "Guard-er." "Miles! You're the Guard-er." Then Cal showed him how to be a "Guard-er." "You go like this!!" And Cal did a Military Salute. Haha. Finally Svea said, "I'm in Jail and he's Guarding me." Haha. Ok, now I got it.
