Cal - 06/06/2022

Callahan ate corn chex cereal and peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, two servings of toasted whole wheat sandwich thins, bites of green beans, ate olives, and mandarin oranges.

Well today is a bit different!! Cal is the only child here so he's getting lots of attention!! We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange and that has kept him busy. Plus we also moved several items as we are consolidating the older toys and activities and eliminating the infant/toddler things. Cal asked Lauralea; "What is this!?!" Lauralea said, "A game called Pick-up-Sticks." Cal said, "5, 6, pick up sticks. 7, 8, lay them straight." Haha. Yup, that's it!!

Here are a couple pictures of Cal doing activities. He likes playing with the legos - first picture. Second picture; Playing a game called "Throw the dog a Bone." (He's "throwing" from point-blank range! Ha.) If you miss or hit the wrong color it says things like; "Oh shucks, you need to practice more." "Hey, you hit the wrong dog!" 'You got to do better than that Laddie!" Those silly phrases make Cal laugh. Cal said, "He says that every time!!"

Next picture; Cal was having fun with the magnet and if you look closely that's a bundle of paper clips!! Last picture: So we went on a walk to see if we could spot the "duck family." We saw no ducks, but we did see a watermelon floating by in the irrigation ditch. Ha. Cal said, "That's crazy!!" Yes, I agree Cal. I would have fetched it out of the water and carried it home to the garbage, but I wasn't prepared to get that wet. Well at least it's biodegradable!!

Callahan ate kix cereal and fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground turkey, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate avocado, tomatoes, and cherries. I took this first picture shortly after Cal arrived and I just thought it was cute how he was sitting on the edge of the mattress reading his book. Second picture: He and Atley were having fun being silly before anyone else arrived. These two are basically on the same humor level. Haha. They find each other to be quite hilarious. Callahan ate two servings of bran cereal and ate most of raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, bites of toasted whole wheat pita bread, bites of cucumbers, ate avocado, and ate pears. At Lunch time Cal asked me; "How you day Gary?" Excellent. He'd repeat it; I'd say excellent. He finally said, "Say good." Haha. I didn't realize that was why he kept repeating it!!  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and these two guys were playing with the bunny ears. Miles put it on his head by himself one time, but in the second picture Cal had put it on him. :) Next picture: Miles likes getting in these tight spots and hanging out. Callahan ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, some whole wheat toast, half of his beets, and ate applesauce.  Callahan and Svea were arguing about giving Alexa instructions. Cal was yelling, "more" and Svea was yelling, "Stop." That was bugging Eden and she came over and asked, "Why are you fighting?" And Cal verbalized it very well. Eden asked, "Do you know rock-paper-scissors?" That hit my funny bone. Oh well, nice try Eden. First picture: Story on the left and Eden on the right were pretending to sleep after Cal arrived and he was intent on waking them. Ha.
