Cal - 08/09/2021

Callahan ate cheerios and banana for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, most of whole wheat pita bread, ate olives, avocado, and watermelon.  

There was a little motorhome parked across the street this morning and I said something about the "camper." Cal said, "That's not a camper." I agreed, but I asked him, "So what is it then?" He said, "That's a driver." Haha. Very good distinction to describe the difference. Then a little later Atley was commenting about one of the stuffed animals. She said, "It smells good." Well it should; we did a toy exchange and that's been washed with bleach added. Cal picked up a stuffed animal and said, "This one smells warm." Haha. That made me laugh. I guess warm can be a nice smell. 

First picture: Atley spotted a deer outside the window and Cal came over to have a look too. (Cal and Atley were the only ones here.) Second picture: The drums are in this toy set and all 5 drums were in use at the same time. Obviously only 3 in the picture, so I guess you'll have to take my word for it. I'd asked Alexa to play "Little Drummer Boy" and that always make me think about when Svea would ask for "Little Drummer Girl." :)

Next picture: I took this right after Cal was done with his breakfast. Earlier, I'd reminded Svea not to hit Cal and said, "If someone's bugging you, and you've asked them to stop, and they won't listen to your words, THEN you say, "Help me Gary." So after breakfast while Cal was still sitting here Svea said, "Help me Gary; Cal's bugging me!!" That made me laugh so much!! Svea did you consider moving away from him. Geez, I wonder who was initiating their interaction!?!

A couple pictures of Miles and Callahan. They were standing at the gate and Cal would say, "ready set go" and they'd run to the mattress and dive on it. Last picture: Cal laid out the doll blanket and motioned for Miles to lay down and then got up beside him. This didn't last long, but I had the camera in my hand.
