Cal - 11/22/2021

Callahan ate kix cereal and fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate two large servings of ground turkey covered with two large servings of avocado. He ate toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate tomatoes, and cherries. (The ground meat topped with avocado is a favorite meal of Cal's.)

We did a toy exchange this weekend so Cal was immediately engaged with activities and toys and stayed engaged most of the morning. Miles is hanging out with one set of Grandparents today so it's just Cal and Svea here. In the first picture Cal had no competition for the tractors, barns, and barnyard animals. In the second picture Cal and I were doing selfies and he was pretty proud of the fact that he'd just sneezed on me. Haha. Thanks a lot Buddy!! 

After breakfast Cal and Svea spent the majority of their time in the Preschool Room and Svea was showing Cal how to manipulate the different latches. In the following picture they had moved on to the tape measures. I'd shown Cal the numbers on the tape and I said the table was about 30 inches wide. Cal measured it and said it was 65. Well now that's a bit of a discrepancy. Ha.

Next picture; This is an activity that Cal really connected with. The "bolts" screw into the board with the holes. (There are colored sheets underneath the holes and you're supposed to match the hole color with the same color bolt, but at this point we're not worrying about that!!) You can use a wrench, a screw-driver, or a "drill." Cal is using the screw-driver in the picture. Again, her LOVED this activity and played with it for a long time.

Hello to all of Cal and Hudson's Family!! As you all know Little Treasures is soon to close it's doors and I'll be moving on to another phase of my life. I'm totally serious when I say all the Boyle Family has been super close to my heart and all of you guys are the best. It's all passed so quickly and today is Cal's last day here. What a blast it's been to have Cal in my Program. As he's gotten older and his sense of humor has developed I must say; I think Cal and I are both inflicted with a serious case of silliness!! Haha. Callahan ate whole wheat toast and mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate two large servings of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of two large servings of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate green beans, and fruit salad. First picture: The girls were doing "origami for children" and following an instructional video folding paper into butterflies. Cal wanted to do some kind of Art so he decided on practicing some cutting again. That's been his "go to thing" lately. He always asks if he can put the many pieces on his Cubby for "Mom and Dad." Haha. Second picture; Having fun with Avi. She loves to rough-house with the boys and of course they love it as well! It's no wonder why Avi, Cal, and Miles are good buddies. Next two pictures: Miles brought his Fire Truck today and shared it for a short period. He was fine sharing with Avi, but didn't want Cal to touch it. So it went back to his Cubby. Cal - 08/16/2022

Callahan ate waffle and two large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of his chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and apple pieces.  This was Cal's first activity after waving bye to Dad and Hudson this morning. Art projects haven't been his first choice so this is picture worthy!! :) Next picture; The boys wanted Avi to lift them out of the chair and of course she was ready to oblige them. Uhhmmm, maybe you should take your game to the Play room where the landing is not hardwood floor. But first I gotta get a picture. Ha. Following picture: They were doing random jumps, butt bombs, and face plants. I encouraged them to synchronize their maneuvers for a photo - haha, right - but I could have stood there taking pictures all day and it probably wouldn't have happened.
