Cal - 02/02/2022

Callahan ate two servings of whole wheat toast and two large servings of grapes for breakfast. I got these grapes from Costco and they are called "Candy Snaps." Very small red grapes, nice and sweet, and the kids really liked them. For lunch he had no pork roast, ate most of whole wheat tortilla, bites of carrots, half of potatoes, and ate fruit cocktail.

Cal was the only one here early and was ready to do activities in the Preschool Room. He said, "I want to go out there and do ac-a-tiv-ity." Ok that's fine. Then he changed it to "av-a-tiv-ity." Similar to Nativity, but different. :)

First two pictures left over from yesterday afternoon! Just in case anyone ever wondered why Miles and Cal consider Avi one of their best friends and favorite people. Here you go with some pictures! You already knew this!?!? Haha. Well now you have positive proof. And she doesn't just do this for a couple minutes; oh no, she'll keep them busy until they're ready to collapse!! :) Thank you Avilene for loving these boys and being a great friend to them. You are awesome.

Next picture: I'd moved the Preschool Book Rack to a better location and I was making sure the kids knew where I'd put it. Next thing I knew these two had collected a few books and were reading. Later in the morning not long before Lunch Cal wanted to go jump on the mattress. He'd been playing pretty much exclusively with Svea for a long time. He said, "I'm gonna jump with Miles on the mattress." THEN he rephrased it; "Svea, can I go jump with Miles?" LOL. That totally hit my funny bone. You got him trained early Svea! She said, "Yes, but when you're done come back and play with me." :) Cuteness!!

Last picture: Svea apparently had some chapstick in her "carry-on" bag. Haha. When I looked up she was applying some on Cal's lips and giving him instructions on what to do next. "Now you rub your lips together like this." Later she told him; "Then if you get tired of it and want it off, use your teeth like this." Hahaha. (Kind of like chewing on her lip.) She also told him; "It smells like ice cream, but it's not ice cream." Good to know. Thanks Svea.

Callahan ate kix cereal and fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground turkey, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate avocado, tomatoes, and cherries. I took this first picture shortly after Cal arrived and I just thought it was cute how he was sitting on the edge of the mattress reading his book. Second picture: He and Atley were having fun being silly before anyone else arrived. These two are basically on the same humor level. Haha. They find each other to be quite hilarious. Cal - 04/26/2021

Callahan ate two servings of bran cereal and ate most of raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, bites of toasted whole wheat pita bread, bites of cucumbers, ate avocado, and ate pears. At Lunch time Cal asked me; "How you day Gary?" Excellent. He'd repeat it; I'd say excellent. He finally said, "Say good." Haha. I didn't realize that was why he kept repeating it!!  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and these two guys were playing with the bunny ears. Miles put it on his head by himself one time, but in the second picture Cal had put it on him. :) Next picture: Miles likes getting in these tight spots and hanging out. Callahan ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, some whole wheat toast, half of his beets, and ate applesauce.  Callahan and Svea were arguing about giving Alexa instructions. Cal was yelling, "more" and Svea was yelling, "Stop." That was bugging Eden and she came over and asked, "Why are you fighting?" And Cal verbalized it very well. Eden asked, "Do you know rock-paper-scissors?" That hit my funny bone. Oh well, nice try Eden. First picture: Story on the left and Eden on the right were pretending to sleep after Cal arrived and he was intent on waking them. Ha.
