Callahan's Journal

Cal ate blueberry bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, whole wheat pizza crust, olives, and most of his pineapple. Cal had the stethoscope and was using it for a microphone. "This is the Captain speaking. Can you please let kids on the airplane. We're going to Seattle." Haha. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when Madison was here to pick up Callahan. She was pulling them around on the parachute. Then Cal was trying to pull Miles when I took this picture. Atley asked, "Would you like some help?" Cal said, "I would love some help!!" So cute. Callahan ate two servings of whole wheat toast and ate one cherry for breakfast. For lunch: He ate pulled pork, whole wheat tortillas, ate sweet potatoes, and fruit cocktail. After waving bye to Daddy at the window Cal spotted a bug in the window. It was a moth so I picked it up and we released it on the patio. It took off so fast we didn't even see which direction it went!! Cal kept asking where it went and I kept saying, "I don't know." Finally Cal said, "Well Maybe Lauralea knows!" Haha. Hilarious. "Ok, let's go ask her" and that's what we did. :) She was absolutely no help! Ha. First picture: Boys acting like silly Boys. Callahan ate whole wheat English muffin and no dried plums for breakfast. Tu Tu picked him up before Lunch. Cal has been frequently talking about his birthday and yesterday afternoon he asked me, "Hey Gary! Can you buy me a Birthday Present for my Birthday?!?" Haha. I said, "Yes I will if you invite me to your party! I'd be happy to!" Cal said, "Ok, I will!!" So we got that settled!! :) There seemed to be a "maniac" theme this morning!! "I run faster than a maniac!!" "I'm bigger than a maniac!!" "I'm hungrier than a maniac!!" Miles was yapping at Cal; yes they are both yappers! Ha. Cal told Miles; "I don't what to talk with you right now!" Miles said, "How bout in a few minutes!?" Cal; "No." Miles; "How about tomorrow!?! Callahan arrived after breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef with a serving of avocado on top, ate whole wheat pita bread, olives, and bites of watermelon. First picture; The boys were getting ready to jump on the mattress when Cal said, "Ok Miles, first we do a butt bomb and then we do a face bomb." Haha. (I've not heard that one before.) Following picture; Watching flies and other bugs  outside  the window. Next picture: Svea built this cozy corner spot and the boys asked for permission to enter. Svea told Cal, "You can come in as long as you don't wreck it." Apparently that was not a reasonable request because he only stayed for 2 seconds. Haha.  Cal was chanting again, just like last week; "I'm a yapper and I yap yap yap." Haha. Then he looks at me to see if I'm laughing. He cracks me up. Last picture with a stethoscope. Callahan chose not to eat breakfast: brown rice and raisins. For lunch he ate most of his salmon, 2nd's on whole wheat dinner roll, ate half of his cauliflower, and ate all his watermelon. I've told Cal that he's a "Yapper." Yesterday afternoon he started saying, "I'm a Yapper and I yap yap yap. I'm a Yapper and I yap yap yap!!" Haha.  Picture "in" the couch. "Who Me?!" "I'm not supposed to be in here!?" Haha. (He didn't say that, but the look on his face says that!! :) Next picture; So the kids were having fun playing "Dead Man" game. Atley and Svea were running around and around chanting, "Dead man dead man, come alive. On the count of number five. 1 2 3 4 5, come alive!! Dead man dead man come alive....." Callahan ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, bites of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate most of his peas, and ate applesauce. So we're off on another adventure!! They chose to go to Cold Springs School playground this morning. So we happened upon some sprinklers! Cheers!! And we took advantage of them on the way back home after getting heated-up at the playground!! Ha! They were laughing and squealing and apparently thought it was wonderful. :) Next picture; Here are the two kids going tandem down the slide. There is another bigger slide, but there were several thistles directly at the bottom of it and I had no gloves to pull them out! However, they were happy and satisfied with Plan B. If you could see the second picture in Live Mode you'd see Cal running hard to get the swing going. Except he was dragging his feet on the return trip so it was back to square one every time. Haha. Callahan ate French toast covered with strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of Hearty Paleo Stew with meat, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, carrots, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes. He also ate saltines and Mangoes/ Pineapple. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon so you can see who's here. Atley and Avi have been joining Cal and Svea. Atley has tennis lessons this week and next. Avi is at a soccer camp this week and next. They were all playing with flashlights and asked me to turn off the lights. (It didn't really help - too bright, but we're thankful to see some sun!!) Callahan ate waffle and two large servings of "candy grapes" for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of his chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and three servings of apple bites. First picture; Cal was hiding from me under the rug. So I just stood there waiting and he couldn't help but peek out to see what was happening!! Ha. Second picture: I couldn't see what they were looking at, but I heard Svea telling Cal, "Those are not ears; those are horns." :) Next picture: We're heading for the irrigation ditch again to see what there is to see!! :) Notice they're both wearing "pads" on their legs. Callahan ate kix cereal and fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate Ground Turkey topped with avocado, toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate half of his tomatoes, and ate cherries. Callahan ate two servings of whole wheat toast and ate mangoes for breakfast. Mommy picked him up before Lunch. First picture; Cal really likes Atley and she likes him as well. When she realized he wasn't gonna be here the rest of the week she said, "I'm gonna miss Cal. I'm gonna think about him all the time." So sweet. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon with the kids at the sand table. (Miles insists it's a "sand box" and I always forget! He doesn't forget!! Haha.) See Cal digging in his pocket?
