Callahan ate three servings of French toast casserole mixed with strawberries for Breakfast. For lunch he ate most of his Hearty Paleo Stew with meat, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, green beans, carrots, and peppers. He ate two servings of saltines, and ate his pears. Svea and Cal have been washing their hands in the bathroom and Miles washes in the kitchen. I have the kids sing the ABC song while washing and frequently Cal and Svea sing at "warp speed" to hurry through the process! Ha. This first picture was taken yesterday afternoon after we took out both of the gates! No babies to contain anymore and I'm tired of the kids accidentally walking/running into the gate when someone leaves it open. Callahan said, "Goodby Stinking Gate!" Haha. Well said Cal!; my sentiments exactly!! Second picture: The boys were looking at this book laughing and chanting, "Underpants, Underpants, Underpants!" On every page. Title of the book: "Aliens...

Callahan ate most of his blueberry waffle and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, whole wheat tortillas, corn, and ate three servings of apple bites. First picture: I love this picture and it's very cool in "Live Mode." (I'll send it to anyone who wants to see it.) They were "fake fighting" and it's super cute. :) Second picture: Cal and Svea were carefully staying on the blocks to avoid the "Hot Lava!" They both slipped and apparently it wasn't that hot because they laid on the floor and talked about it!! Ha. Next two pictures: Svea asked if they could do some painting - "NOT dot painting" - she made that very clear. Ha. I was impressed they did not mix brushes in the wrong paint! Cal said, "I'm making a snowman." Svea said, "Mine is a Cat Princess!" And Miles identified his by the different colors. Last two pictures: We also went outside this morning. They went right back to se...

Callahan ate kix cereal and ate fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground turkey topped with avocado, toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate olives, and two servings of cherries. First picture: After waving at the window the boys were taking turns in the chair; telling each other to "go faster and faster!!" Second picture; This is what the kids were doing shortly after Svea's arrival. She was "taking notes" and drawing pictures while Mile played with the drill and Cal was waiting for his turn with the drill. We played outside for a long time this morning and the kids had lots of fun. Shortly after going outside Svea said, "Cal, do you want to play volleyball!?" He said, "Sure." And immediately gave the ball a big kick across the yard! Svea yelled at him; "Cal, that's NOT how you play volleyball!" Cal said, "That's how I play volleyball!" I had to laugh at that. (Quitely. Ha.) Next picture: Svea brought ...

Callahan ate oatmeal and apple bites for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, whole wheat dinner roll, two servings of carrots, and ate fruit cocktail. Breakfast conversation; Cal was telling Miles about golfing. I've tried everything I can think of to get Cal to tell me how he broke his golf club. So I thought maybe this was the moment. ME: "Hey Miles, ask Cal how he broke his gold club." So Miles asked him. Cal said, "I broke it on Gary!" LOL! What a little goof. Cracks me up. I took this first picture shortly after Cal arrived and I love it when the kids settle into the cozy corner to read some books. I peeked to see what he was reading and it was "A Bug's Life." I asked Cal what the story was about and he said, "Ants." Haha. Sounds about right. Next picture: Svea asked if they could do some Dot Painting and the kids had fun with that. When I took this picture they were discussing (ie, arguing - ha) about Miles' picture. Svea s...

Callahan ate 2 large servings of French toast and strawberries mixed together for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork, two servings of whole wheat toast, ate peas, and most of his dried plums. Remember from yesterday's Blog when I wrote about the boys and their love of "fighting." (their words) Much to their delight Avilene was ready to do battle with them when she arrived from School. Meanwhile Svea and Nora were at the big Doll House doing their thing. :) Next picture: I took this picture immediately after Miles got here. They had not even waved at Momma Emily yet, but they were "racing" to the window. Haha. And you can obviously guess what came next!?! "I win, I win." "No, I win, I win." And more of the same. Following picture; The boys were laying on the toy shelves and I asked them, "What are you guys doing?" They both answered; "Hiding." Me: "Oh, who are you hiding from?" Cal said, "Ourselves....

Callahan ate two servings of whole wheat toast and ate watermelon for breakfast. So we've had watermelon like 3 days in a row!! (A BIG one from Costco! Haha!) Miles wanted to know if we could have more after nap! LOL! No, it's all gone! For lunch Cal ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate green beans, and fruit cocktail. So immediately after breakfast Cal said to Miles: "Hey Miles! Are you ready to fight!?!" Haha! Goofy suckers! My thoughts immediately went back a few years to when we had a Family Program and for about 18 months we had 11 boys and 1 girl. Testosterone was flowing from every corner of the room. I thought it was great; Lauralea, not so much!! :) First picture; Cal watched Lauralea in the kitchen for the longest time shortly after arrival. She was cutting up some brussel sprouts and Cal said they "look like cabbages." Good observation Cal! She was laughing about some of the silly thin...

Callahan ate his blueberry bagel and two large servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate most of salmon patty (He asked, What kind of salmon is this!?!!), ate bites, ate half of his broccoli, and ate a large serving of mixed berries.  First picture left over from yesterday afternoon. Miles went home early so it was just Cal and Svea enjoying the crackers Svea brought from home. I like this set-up! The bugs can clean up the crumbs instead of me doing it!! :) Pictures from this morning activities: This is a cute picture in Live Mode. They said they were being "dinosaurs." Second picture: Reading Preschool Books. Miles is sitting in another chair across the room. Third picture: I just liked how they were sitting close to each other licking on their ice cream cones. :) This next picture made me laugh. Cal pointed the play camera at Miles and said, "Cheese." Well you can see the "Miles Cheesy Face!" The funny part? In the middle of the cheesy face -wit...

Callahan ate bran cereal and no raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken topped with avocado, ate bites of whole wheat pita bread, ate cucumbers, and ate his pears.  It was SO fun to see the Daycare kids after spending a glorious week in Louisiana with my family. Thanks again to Lauralea for making that happen. She kept me posted on a daily basis how things were going here at the Daycare. So I have a couple of pictures from last week that I'm gonna post first. Svea Asking Cal, "Do you know what holidays are?" Cal said, "What!?!" Svea continued, "Christmas is a Holiday." "And then that holiday when we eat chicken." Haha. First picture: The kids were dropping dandelions in the water and then watching them go floating by in the irrigation ditch. :) Second picture; Svea and Cal were laying in this merry-go-round and calling it a "boat." And the "Boat is going to New York City!" :) We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange...

Callahan ate oatmeal and several dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of his tilapia, half of his whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and applesauce. First two pictures - Well it was one of those mornings when the kids needed their own space two or three times!! Cal didn't complain about it either!! I think he actually wanted some alone time to simply regroup a bit. Reading books in the cozy corner and working some magic with the Doll House accessories. He's always the first one to remind me about Story Time too and he always enjoys the books.  Next picture: Svea revealing what she brought from home. She was teasing a bit too much, but eventually disclosed the contents!! The following picture made me laugh. Svea kept calling it her "lemonade" and said "Grandma showed me how to make lemonade." So if you look close you'll see an egg (sunny side up) on the bottom, strawberries, and bacon. Hey some people say bacon goes with anythin...

Callahan ate blueberry bagel and three large servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate hamburger & sausage pizza, with meat, peppers, pineapple, olives, and tomato sauce. Ate bites of whole wheat pizza crust (on the side) and bites of pineapple. So I heard Miles and Cal arguing over some toy this morning. Cal said, "Well when you leave, when your Mom picks you up, then I will have it!!" Of course this was 8:40 this morning - a few hours before pickup time! Ha. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon. Cal wanted Svea and Miles to look at him. "Hey Guys! I got my hearing aids on!!" LOL! Cal has watched intently many times as I've inserted my hearing aids and this hit my funny bone. :) Next picture: Svea worked hard on these Potato Heads yesterday while the boys were napping. Svea chose not to eat breakfast, but she managed to provide some Breakfast entertainment for the boys. Most of these were still intact from yesterday and she had...

Callahan ate most of his whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast. During breakfast Miles randomly said, "I'm eating like a pig!" Svea laughed and said, "He said he's eating like a pig!" Ha. That's because YOU told him that same thing yesterday! For lunch Cal ate a bite of pork roast, ate whole wheat tortillas, ate carrots, potatoes, and fruit salad. First picture; Cal was laying on the floor saying, "Jump over me!" I guess Miles needed some reassurance that Cal really meant it!! "Can I jump over you!?!" Haha. Of course. What could possibly go wrong here!?! :)  Second picture: So this is becoming a morning ritual. Svea brings the snack and shares it with the boys.  Next picture: Svea and Cal having fun experimenting with the Magnetic tray activity. I think Cal has 5 items dangling off his handle. Following picture: These three were working real hard at the "I Spy" book. Svea was asking the questions and the boys were l...
