Callahan ate half of his whole wheat English muffin serving and ate his mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, most of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce.  This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and it was cute how Cal and Svea were on their tummies on the swings. They'd run real hard and coast backwards over and over. They also played on this one set of equipment the most and Svea did (and said) everything she possibly could to get Cal to go down the steep slide. Then she resorted to threats: "If you want me to play with you go down the slide." "If you want me to be your friend go down the slide." "If you want  all  my money Cal, go down the slide." She was certainly persistent, but his resistance matched her persistence stride for stride. (Personally, I'd have taken the money Cal! Haha.) Next picture: Everyone was rowdy and having a great time. The "big" kids sure like to be matc...

Cal arrived after breakfast. For Lunch he ate half of his Hearty Paleo Stew with meat, tomatoes, green beans, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and sweet potatoes. He ate two servings of Saltines, and also ate his Mangoes. (Hudson loved the Stew and ate 2 large servings.) Hudson said, "I don't have to bring my own lunch!?!?" Haha.  First two pictures - Hudson and Cal are both here today and the kids have been having a great time. I took these two pictures shortly after they arrived and poor Svea was trying to hard to get Cal to acknowledge her presence. And especially her beautiful Princess dress. "Look at my dress Cal. Look at my dress." Nope, that wasn't happening!! He pretended to be fully engaged in his activities. Haha. I like how he says it better; " Av-i-tiv-i-tees. " I've never seen him concentrate so hard!! :) Next picture: Well this can't be right - two against one - especially two Kindergarteners against a 3 Year Old!! Ha!! Nothing...

Callahan ate French toast (casserole - new recipe) and two servings of dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork, no whole wheat toast, no peas, and half of his strawberries.  During breakfast Cal was teaching Miles how to say, "Early Out Day." Cal; "Miles, say Early." Miles; "Early." Cal, "Say out." Miles, "Out." Cal, "Say day." Miles, "Day." Cal, "Early Out Day." Miles, "Out Day." And Cal was satisfied. Soooo cute of them both.  First picture: We've talked about this before, but again we have the slow unveiling of Svea's Goodie Bag for the day. She carefully takes out one item at a times as the anticipation builds. Haha. Makes me laugh. Second picture: One of the items was a book and Svea started reading it to the boys. Then she asked me to read it so we did. I was impressed that Miles sat for all of the story because there are lots of words in this book about "Fairy H...

Callahan ate bites of whole wheat toast and two large servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate no cauliflower, and ate a large serving of fruit salad. I took this first picture when I returned from my Wellness Checkup this morning. It's nice to have a quality sub . :) (You've all heard me say this, but that never stops me from repeating something!! I tell Lauralea she's my Assistant and she makes it very clear she is my Consultant!! Haha.) Speaking of subbing - for my Birthday in May Lauralea is gifting me with a week of Child Care coverage so I can go to Louisiana. I am so happy and feel so Blessed to be able to go see my family there. I will be gone from May 7 - 14. Little Treasures will operate as usual except maybe no Blogs that week. It will be Lauralea's choice. Next picture: I'm not sure what Svea was doing under the legos table, but the drawer wasn'...

Callahan ate half of his blueberry bagel and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate most of his shrimp, ate a large serving of brown rice covered with berry juice, a few green beans, and ate mixed berries. Miles and Cal doing what silly boys do. Miles was actually in this position first, but Cal claimed credit for the originality. Cal said, "I'm showing Miles how to do a belly  flopper !!" Haha. Second picture: I'm not sure what precipitated this 'silent treatment' from Svea, but most likely Cal was not following her lead appropriately in the make-believe game she'd created. Haha. Third picture: Cal and Svea in the Preschool Room constructing things with the legos.  Next picture: This was pretty entertaining to watch. First they asked me to move the mattress away from the wall so they could run around and around and around the mattress. Then they all started claiming to be the "Ginger Bread Man" and "You can't catch Me!" Eventua...

Callahan ate bran cereal and no raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken topped with avocado, no whole wheat pita bread, ate some of his cucumber, and ate pears. We saw a young man this morning with an amazingly BIG afro-haircut. It was huge and I've seen some large large afro styles going back to the late 60's - 70's. This was a good one! I said, "WOW! Look at that haircut! Cal said, "You should get one of those!!" LOL!! That sure made me laugh.  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and I took this first picture pretty early this morning. These binoculars have animal pictures in them, but it was still cute how the boys had them pointed at each other. :) Second picture: They went out to the Preschool Room to do some "Av-i-tiv-ity!!" (with 4 syllables) I love how they say that word. That's how Cal says it and Miles says it very similar to that. Cal was stacking beads on one of the rods; not following the pattern, but that...

Callahan ate cream of wheat cereal and dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, half of his brown rice, no broccoli, and ate pineapple. Lunch time Cal made a random proclamation!! He said, "Because I am the funny sucker!!" Haha. Yup, he's heard me call him that a few times.  First picture: The boys were getting ready to do some jumping and also checking out some of the stuff Svea brought from home. (While Svea keeps a close eye on those sketchy boys! Ha.) Miles was most impressed with the stuffed snake. "Snake, Snake, Snake, Snake." Second picture: Title of this picture is "Soft Landing!" As Cal goes face-first into Svea's squishy pillow. Ha. Third picture: Spending some time at the Art Table.  Next picture: "The Three Musketeers." Doing Three Musketeer things! Svea attempting to do some synchronized jumping with the boys. Ha. (Miles was cooperating.) Last picture: Having fun in the swivel/rocker. Well more accurately - occasi...

Callahan had no waffle and ate fruit salad for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground turkey, whole wheat tortilla, maybe half of his sweet potato serving, and ate cherries.  Notable quotes from Cal: I told Cal he was the "King of Comedy!" He said, "No I'm not because I don't have a crown." :) I said, "There goes Daddy-O!" (Waving bye to them.) Cal said, "Daddy-O on the Patio." Haha. (Yes he copied that from me. You're welcome.) This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon. This was during their break time on the construction site! :) I think this serious discussion was about getting Unionized to deal with unfair labor practices!! (Sorry, just amusing myself again!)  First picture I took this morning. Svea led Cal into the Preschool Room in front of the entry door again for the unveiling of her bag of goodies from home. Every day when Svea arrives Cal be like; "What'd you bring today Svea!?!" Haha. And like I...

Callahan ate half of his whole wheat toast and ate a large serving of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of Whole 30 Chili with meat, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and spices. He ate half of his whole wheat dinner roll, and ate a large serving of mangoes.  First picture: I helped the boys build some steps to the top of the legos table. (In front of the mirror.) That kept them busy for a long time this morning. It always amazes me how a slight change by doing something different can keep their interest for a long time.  Next picture: Shortly after Svea arrived she took Cal into the Preschool Room, over by the door, and slowly opened her bag for him to get a peek of whatever goodies she brought from home. She cracks me up. She makes quite a production out of many things and I love it. Cal seems to be ok with it too! Haha. He never complains, but patiently waits for her to lay out the goods. :) Last picture: "Do Play Dough! Do Play Dough!" Thos...

Callahan ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and two large servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate no pork roast, half of his whole wheat toast, no beets, and a large serving of applesauce. The kids spotted someone walking their dog and sprinted to the window to first pound on the window to get their attention and then wave. When they were done Svea said, "Gary! The good guy was here!!" So cute. Here's the back story: This man lives on Rainbow Drive and frequently walks his dog. It's obvious the man has some physical limits and always looks kind of sad so I've made a point of having the kids always greet him. (His daughter told me he really likes it.) It always brings a smile to his face. Thanks kids for bringing some cheer to his day. Side note: I was telling Lauralea about the "old guy" and Lauralea said, "I think he's younger than you." LOL!! He probably is. Today's Notable Quotes from Cal: "Do you know what my Pap...

Callahan ate a bite of corn chex and ate peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate three servings of ground beef topped with avocado, ate whole wheat sandwich thin, tomatoes, and two servings of mandarin oranges. Cal and Miles were singing "They all rolled over" and it went something like this; "Two in bed and the little one said, roll over. They all rolled over and one fell out. There were  two  (still - ha) in the bed...." Svea  finally  had to intervene!! (After about the 15th time singing it that way!) She said, "CAL!! After two there's only one left in the bed!!" LOL!! So funny! Moments later she started offering corrections while Cal was singing the ABC song. That was going too far!! Cal bellowed, "I  know  this song!!" Hahaha. First picture: Cal was the first one here this morning and after waving at Daddy and Hudson we played at the window and in the chair. We were doing selfies and I got lots of cute pictures of him. Second picture: As...

Callahan ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate tilapia, some of his whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and a large serving of applesauce. First two pictures: Hiding Eggs this morning. Svea is hiding the eggs and the 2 egg searchers are breathlessly awaiting word that's it's time to start the search. Now if you know Svea, you know she's always on "Svea Time." So let's just say the searchers are getting restless!! When I took the picture she was taking her sweet time going potty!! Haha. Second picture: However, when the search starts Svea helps out by giving VERY vidid and specific hints: "You're close Miles! You're close Cal!! Now look down Miles!! I said look down!! Right there! Right there!!" Haha. I'll let you make up your own stories for this next picture: Haha. (Cal was successful, but no, Miles did not attempt to jump over Svea.) Last picture: The kids spotted the FedEx truck delivering packages a...
