Callahan's Journal

Callahan ate blueberry bagel and ate three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of hamburger & sausage pizza with the meats, pineapple, peppers, olives, and tomato sauce. He ate bites of whole wheat pizza crust (we serve on the side) and ate his pineapple on the side too.   This first picture is from yesterday afternoon and only Callahan and Atley were here. So we got out the Robot Vacuum in preparation for a visit (today) from the Food Program monitor. Of course Callahan loved watching the Vacuum do it's thing! Next picture: The boys were playing with the food toys and I thought it was cute when they were both drinking some orange juice! :) Following two pictures of Miles and Cal playing around and on the mattress this morning. Callahan ate whole wheat toast and three servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, ate whole wheat tortillas, bites of potatoes, bites of carrots, and ate fruit salad.    There were several kids from Meadow Hill Middle School walking past our big window with a couple of adults. We were all at the window waving at them. Atley saw the adult waving back at us and she said, "I saw that guy in the Olympics!!" LOL! Dang that made me laugh!! First two pictures: This was the scene at Gary's at 8:00 this morning. Cal was the first one here and he was the only one who got to enjoy watching the workers!! We watched them lay down the hot oil and then the fine gravel on top. Followed by the heavy rollers. I probably enjoyed it as much as Cal did!! Callahan ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of his chicken, most of brown rice, bites of broccoli, and ate mandarin oranges.    When Cal arrived I asked him if "Bubba got home from Spokane?" Cal said, "Yes and I go to dinner!" "Oh that's nice; where'd you go to dinner at?" Cal said, "To the Store!" Haha. Nice choice; they've got a heck of a menu!! :) So this first picture is leftover from yesterday afternoon. Avi was putting on a Superhero Costume and she asked Cal to zip it up for her. Haha. That was SO stinking cute and made me laugh so much. He was very serious and working hard to get it zipped!! Super adorable!! Callahan ate cheerios and banana for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, most of whole wheat pita bread, ate olives, avocado, and watermelon.   There was a little motorhome parked across the street this morning and I said something about the "camper." Cal said, "That's not a camper." I agreed, but I asked him, "So what is it then?" He said, "That's a driver." Haha. Very good distinction to describe the difference. Then a little later Atley was commenting about one of the stuffed animals. She said, "It smells good." Well it should; we did a toy exchange and that's been washed with bleach added. Cal picked up a stuffed animal and said, "This one smells warm." Haha. That made me laugh. I guess warm can be a nice smell.  First picture: Atley spotted a deer outside the window and Cal came over to have a look too. (Cal and Atley were the only ones here.) Callahan ate half of his waffle serving and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, corn, and baked cinnamon apples.   First picture: What does it look like Cal is doing here? You get a point if you said he's in the "blocks" preparing to run. Haha. And he got this from Avilene. She gets into this position and sprints to the mattress to do something spectacular! Callahan did this at least 6 times in a row this morning.  Here's a morning ritual!! Sprinting from the window to the couch!! Haha. They love doing this. Miles hits that couch at full speed and does a face-plant and comes up laughing! It looks a bit painful, but I guess it's fun. Haha. Following picture: I happened to have the camera when they laid on the couch and when I took this picture Cal said, "He's my good friend." Well that's good to hear because sometimes it's hard to tell if that's true or not. Haha. Just kidding. Totally normal to be bud...

Callahan ate bites of kix cereal and ate fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground turkey mixed with two servings of avocado, two servings of toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate tomatoes, and ate cherries. Is this not the cutest picture ever of Cal!?! I think so!! :) You're welcome. :) Second picture: It was just Cal and Atley here for 30 minutes this morning before someone else arrived. He was keeping a close eye on what she was doing, but he was also not messing with her project!! That was good thinking Cal!! :) Miles and Cal reading books and being so calm and sweet!! Haha. Pictures are awesome! So here's the real story: Miles was sitting there with 3 or 4 books reading by himself. Cal scoots up, steals all the books, and whips them behind his back. Ha. I'm a bit slow getting these Blogs started because Tate - lawn mowing wizard - gave me a 2 minute warning that he was coming today. :) Text: "I'm on my way!" and he lives 2.0 minutes away and that's when he walks. Ha. I usually have everything moved and ready for him. Sometimes there are lots of Daycare equipment on the lawn. Anyhow it's all good. Callahan ate whole wheat toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of whole wheat spaghetti noodles. He ate cauliflower and ate fruit salad. Lauralea's sister was here yesterday for a few minutes and Svea was getting acquainted as fast as she possibly could. It was really cute. Cal, on the other hand is pretty wary of strangers and he was keeping his distance in the Daycare room; basically out of sight! Svea went in to where Cal was at and was trying to convince him that "she's a nice girl." It was really cute. Cal wasn...
