Callahan's Journal

Callahan ate bites of corn chex cereal and ate peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground beef topped with avocado, ate toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate tomatoes, and two servings of mandarin oranges.  First picture - Svea had the boys examining her painted fingernails and painted toenails. As you can see they were interested! Second picture: The boys were having fun playing in the chair again and Cal stood up about the same time I took the picture. Considering this chair rocks AND swivels I told him that was probably not too safe. :) Next picture; I asked Lauralea to take this picture and here's what it's all about. Friday evening I got a front tooth extracted and replaced with a temporary tooth and partial plate. So this is a "Show & Tell" session about my tooth. Callahan ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of tilapia, ate whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce.   I took this first picture shortly after Cal arrived and he was playing under the "fort" (Nora's word) or "cave" (Svea's word) leftover from yesterday afternoon when Nora and Svea were playing under there. The kids continued to enjoy this spot through the morning with surprisingly very little conflict. Good job all three of you - Cal, Miles, and Svea!! I came out from the kitchen and Queen Svea had the boys standing at attention so I took this next picture. I don't know what she was playing, but they were attempting to do as they were told! Ha. Callahan ate two servings of blueberry bagel and two servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate a large serving of hamburger & sausage pizza with meat, olives, pineapple, peppers, and tomato sauce. He ate whole wheat pizza crust on the side and pineapple on the side. Cal and Miles were doing a "new thing" (Old, but new to them. Ha.) running to the window to wave bye at Mommy Emily. One or both of them are usually saying, "My Mom, My Mom, My Mom." (It rarely happens with Daddy Colin because Cal is usually the first one here.) So thanks to Cal this morning running to the window he was saying, "I win, I win, I win." And of course Miles was echoing that; "I win, I win, I win." Ha. (It's all age appropriate.) Callahan ate two servings of whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, ate whole wheat tortilla, no carrots, ate potatoes, and fruit salad. Cal was the only one here for a few minutes this morning and I was trying to get a picture of him and he kept his tongue hanging out. Haha. Although this is actually a pretty nice picture!! :) He also asked if we could play "Up with Montana Boys!" So Alexa was playing that and Cal said, "The Grizzlies are off today." Ha. Callahan ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of chicken, ate brown rice, no broccoli, and ate mandarin oranges.  This first picture is shortly after Miles had arrived. It's early in the day and they were both doing the "my my my" thing. Cal said, "I wanna snuggle." Miles, "Me snuggle, me snuggle." :) No problem. And then they were giggling and we were having fun. Cal retrieved my phone so I could do a selfie of them. Goofiness and Cuteness. Second picture; This was the first time I've noticed Cal doing the Alphabet Puzzle and it's definitely more challenging. Callahan ate two servings of Cheerios and ate his banana serving for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef covered with avocado, bites of whole wheat pita bread, ate olives, and strawberries. At Lunch - while putting olives on all her fingers - Svea said, "Remember when we used to put olives on our fingers?" Ha. Uhhh, yes like two weeks ago - the last time we had olives!!?!! :)  Svea frequently phrases her sentences in unique ways - all children do, but her's are just so cute!! She said Cal wasn't being nice to Miles and she phrased it like this, "He wasn't being nice to Miles. And we need to be friendship! That's what we do." Love it. Yes that's what we do!! So in this first picture Alexa was playing, "We wish you a Merry Christmas!!" (Cheers! It's never too early!!) Callahan ate most of his waffle serving and two large servings of grapes. For lunch he ate half of his chicken, ate whole wheat tortilla, ate corn, and ate his apple slices. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when Svea and Cal were the only ones here. I asked Svea why she had on the beautiful head-covering. :) She said, "I'm in a wedding." Oh really,,.and who's getting married? Svea said, "Me. I'm marrying Cal and he's marrying me." Ha. Well I'm certainly glad to hear it's reciprocal. Later Svea was still gathering up goods for their happy home and she said, "Hey Cal! I got a new baby from the baby store!!" LOL. That made me laugh! She cracks me up.
